Silence in my Storm?

Many times, we are overwhelmed by the storms of life, issues pressing upon us on every side; it seems to want to choke us with no room to breathe, move or even allow us to take a step forward. There seems to be no joy anywhere, no good news or even a glint of hope on the horizon. However, we must remember that through it all God is there with us. He is always by your side no matter what emotions we feel, the situation we face or despite the faces which surround us.

2 Timothy 2:13 – (NKJV)
If we are faithless,
He remains faithful;
He cannot deny Himself

Each one of us is on a journey whether we realise this or not; the person beside us, in front or behind us is in their own lane running their own race. This can be likened to us (humans) being vehicles but we need a driver who will steer the vehicle. Christ is the driver who would steer the vehicle, the Holy Spirit is the Satnav system who will guide us, whilst the Bible is the fuel in which we need to continually fill ourselves with. The Bible is the fuel which can never run dry – limitless supply, our daily manual which is equipped with all solutions needed for any problem we face.
The people we carry along or even meet on our journey should ultimately point them or direct them towards – Heaven. They can be likened to passengers on this journey of life. What we emit daily are the words, actions and decisions we take. The ‘exhaust pipe’ of the vehicle possessed by us – is ultimately seen by believers and non-believers alike! Throughout it all we should remain focused on Christ even though our physical surroundings may seem otherwise.

Isaiah 43:2 – (NIV)
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.

Take comfort in this scripture that He is there no matter what. When we are pressed on every side, we should always look unto God for guidance in all things as he is the one who knows and holds our futures. He has and knows the best for us in all situations and in every facet of our lives.

We should know that storms are not common to us individuals alone. At one point or another, we would have them come into our lives to teach a lesson which would ultimately show forth the glory of God which is within us.

God is always there with you in the midst of it all: just look unto Him and he shall surely guide you.
